Independence Tooling is actively seeking a Utility Worker/Driver to join our team!

Responsibilities

+ Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager

+ Frequently travel locally using the company van for deliveries and pickups, ensuring efficient handling

+ Perform general building and vehicle maintenance tasks, ensuring facilities are safe and functional

+ Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, including landscaping and minor repairs

+ Engage in general labor and construction tasks as needed

+ Collaborate with various departments within the shop, such as Fixture Build and CNC Machining, to support their operations

Qualifications

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license for transportation needs

+ Demonstrated ability to understand and work with mechanical systems

+ Comfortable using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks

+ Enjoys working with their hands and solving practical problems

+ Must be a team player and willing to assist in other areas as needed

+ Must have strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team

+ Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workloads

+ Prepared to work overtime when necessary, adjusting hours based on project demands

+ Must possess a valid and current driver's license

+ Only U.S. Citizens may be considered for this role

+ Ability to lift 25+ lbs

Preferred Qualifications

+ Prior exposure to a manufacturing or build environment

+ Familiarity with operating shop machinery is highly advantageous

+ Interest in learning a trade such as welding, machining, fixture building, or quality assurance

+ Experience driving a hi-lo or operating a crane
