    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Outside Machinists / Diesel Mechanics** for projects located in the **San Diego, CA area** . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is **$28/hour** based on experience plus **$150/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site** .If you are a Marine Outside Machinists/Diesel Mechanic and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

    Job Scope:

    + Install, maintain & repair ships, propulsion, and auxiliary systems including but not limited to steam turbine, electrical and diesel propulsion systems, rudders, and steering gear elevators and navy unrep systems

    + Install, repair & maintain ships fluid systems which include pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators and valves

    + Test equipment to ensure systems meets specifications

    + Install and test various shop equipment

    + Perform other related tasks as assigned

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of experience

    + Must pass background check and drug screen

    + Firewatch certification and OSHA 10; TI can provide training for qualified candidates

    + Respirator fit certification
