Finance Transformation Domain Architect

Position Purpose:
Subject matter expert on the design, development and delivery of assigned financial domain. Provide consultation, insight, and recommendations on Cora and SUS financial system processes. Guide a solution from concept to delivery. Identify any gaps and standardization and integration testing and validation of processes and functionality before rolling out to end-users. Ensure design and development complies with government standards (ie., SOX).
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Strategy
+ Assess and establish business financial processes and standards for pertinent financial domain by collaborating with business stakeholders
+ Guide a solution from concept to delivery – create solutions that meet business requirements, prove the feasibility of the design/process that can be ultimately implemented and supported in Production environment.
+ Utilize expertise in financial domain to translate business strategy and requirements into a solution that can be used by Corp, SBS, OpCo end-users
Testing and Design Reviews
+ Regularly participate in design session reviews throughout various phases of process
+ Ensure adherence to business standards and financial government standards
+ Identify gaps during testing of the process and deploy and test solutions
+ Lead sprints
Process Documentation
+ Maintain process documentation for end-to-end financial system process
+ Define and enforce financial standards, procedures, metrics and policies to ensure consistency across the business units with guidance from leader
Support and Training
+ Provide coaching and training to key internal and external business stakeholders
+ Serve as technical owner and point contact for domain specific solutions
+ Assist with transition readiness and go-live activities to new service delivery model
+ Assist with stabilization to the business after go-live as needed
Education/Experience:
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent higher education in Finance-related field
+ 5+ years of progressive, related experience
+ 2+ years of leadership-related experience (leading people or leading a process/project)
Skills:
+ Ability to utilize expertise to create a solution and influence business stakeholders to achieve results
+ Demonstrates skills in problem solving, team building, total quality management.
+ Ability to interpret and apply a variety of policies, procedures and/or precedents to resolve diverse issues and make effective decisions.
+ Ability to monitor and control schedules and progress
+ Ability to collaborate and work across functions within Sysco and with GPOs
+ Microsoft Office and specialized accounting / finance software ERP Systems (i.e. workday).
