    Responsibilities

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), within their scope of practice and under direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practitioner is responsible for contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to a designated group of healthcare consumers across the continuum. Provides services which encompass the spiritual, physiological, social, and psychological aspects of care of the sick, prevention of disease, or conservation of health. The position contributes to the mission and core values of CHI Health.

     

    + _Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practitioner follows the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage._

    + _Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors. Contributes to the RN initial assessment and may perform re-assessment._

    Qualifications

    Graduate of a LPN nursing program

    LPN:NE;

    BLS-CPR

    If working in a unit located in or traveling to Iowa, or a Behavioral Health/Psych unit: Mandatory Reporter Adult and Mandatory Reporter Child - within 6 months; tracked through Learning system

     

    Knowledge of current nursing practice, critical thinking skills, professional verbal and written communication skills, technical/computer skills, attention to detail, customer service skills, adaptability, maintain confidentiality.

     

    If hired in a NE facility, approved LPN-IV therapy course required if LPN program completed outside of NE or in Nebraska completed prior to 2016 or validation of prior LPN-C required upon hire tracked locally.

    Pay Range

    $17.89 - $24.60 /hour
