    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    We are currently looking for an ambitious Speech Pathologist Graduate to join our team. As our Graduate Speech-Language Pathologist you would plan and administer medically prescribed treatment programs for the rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive and oral motor disorders. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.

    Your duties and responsibilities may include:

    • You will evaluate patient’s condition, obtain case history, and administers diagnostic tests to determine nature and degree of speech and language problem as supervised by CCC-SLP.

    • You will perform clinical evaluations and re-evaluations, analyzes data, and plans appropriate treatment program based on evaluation and physician orders.

    • You will determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Establishes provisions for continuing services and makes referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary as supervised by CCC-SLP.

    • You will collaborate with patient service departments and community service agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learning activities.

    Requirements:

    • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

    • Experience: Successful completion of a graduate level program (academic coursework and clinical practicum) in Speech-Language Pathology seeking mentorship from a licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist to complete the Clinical Fellowship.

    • Licensure: State of Florida Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (provisional).

    • Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA (American Heart Association) required.

    • Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.

    • Physical Demands: Medium- lifting 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carry of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
