    BASIC FUNCTION:

    Leads Category Management globally. Develops the overall strategy by category in order to leverage spend by maximizing CBRE scale benefits to deliver savings on third party expenditure which directly impact business results, while balancing both CBRE and client objectives for customer satisfaction, service quality, ESG, and innovation.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

    + To provide world-class sourcing, contract management, and value management expertise to achieve increased product or service quality, reduced total cost of ownership (“TCO”) and enhanced operating efficiencies.

    + Develops robust process for benchmarking Categories of spend, consistently and accurately, on a global scale.

    + Aligned to Sector and Platform requirements, seek to drive synergies/opportunities across the end-to-end CBRE supply chain (both internally and externally) to reduce third party expenditure.

    + Responsible for overall Category Management activity, collaborating where appropriate to ensure we consider global, regional, country, local and Sector requirements, while providing input as required to the IFM Solutions (BTO) Team.

    + Ensures that all Category Management activity delivers value for money through the planned and skillful management of all agreed Categories and the supply base.

    + Aligned with the PEP Program, responsible for strategic supplier selection, subsequent and appropriate management of the supply base (SRM); contract negotiations, placement and management of all third-party requirements relating to the agreed Category areas.

    + Maintains a Centre of Excellence by providing expert reach-back on strategic Categories, providing insight on market pricing, suppliers, competitors, technology, ESG etc.

    + Consolidates spend and strategically leverages supplier relationships to deliver the best proposition at the lowest total cost whilst maintaining customer service and product quality.

    + Deploys a Category Management framework and organizational model; working collaboratively with the Platform and Sectors, to define and execute cross-business unit sourcing responsibilities for selected Categories that deliver financial targets/schedule adherence.

    + Implements, publishes, manages and maintains a Preferred Supplier Listing (PSL) with detailed capabilities by geography and performance. Clear transparent MvB consideration.

    + Supports, Contract Management & Risk Mitigation – minimizing CBRE operational and financial exposure by ensuring and securing complete and favorable contractual terms & conditions for all contracted agreements.

    + Drives supplier and product/service rationalization.

    + Has direct responsibility for some key supplier relationships and supports the Supply Chain function and wider business in managing key supplier relationships.

    + Conducts regular and robust challenge sessions, providing strategic guidance, insight and direction for Category Management, while developing and publishing a rolling 12-month plan of activity agreed with the business.

    + Ensures that contracts for strategic, critical and preferred suppliers that underpin a category strategy have commercial rigor, incorporate continuous improvement targets and are executed in accordance with policy.

    + First line approval for all supplier contracts that underpin a category strategy and that are for Critical, Strategic and Preferred suppliers.

    + Develops senior stakeholder relationships and ensures all team members maintain appropriate stakeholder maps.

    + Ensure that the role & activities of the Category Management team are clearly understood by the rest of the Supply Chain function, and internal & external stakeholders.

    + Champions’ new ways of working within own team and wider community, ensuring new ways of working and organizational changes are embedded.

    + Ensures team are utilizing appropriate technologies to conduct supply market research, analysis, evaluation etc.

    REQUIREMENTS & CAPABILITIES:

    + An experienced Procurement professional with extensive knowledge of sourcing and supply chain management.

    + 10 – 15 year’s Procurement experience

    + Undergraduate degree is required. Advanced degree in Supply Chain or MBA desired.

    + Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies and lead team in implementing those strategies

    + Participation on a Divisional or Business Unit leadership team

    + Proven ability to effectively manage in a matrix organization with the ability to influence up, down, and across the organization

    + Demonstrated experience with supplier partner programs and driving supplier leverage

    + Supplier development and performance measurement

    + Team management and development; setting annual goals that align with the business initiatives, establish employee development plans, and coaching/mentoring

    + Facilities management and/or service category knowledge such as cleaning, landscaping, building repair & maintenance, MRO, waste management, office services, fire/life/safety, elevators

    + Strong negotiation skills

    + Contract law knowledge and working experience of supplier T&Cs

    + Client / Customer facing skills desired + experience with business development

    + Excellent communication skills. Ability to develop and present compelling business cases to CBRE client senior leadership.

    + Proven track record to execute and deliver results

    + Strong business acumen

    + Certification in APICS and/or CPM preferred or equivalent supply chain management experience.

    + Travel less than 20%
