Worcester Eisenbrandt , a historic restoration construction company located in Baltimore, is seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist for a full time office position.
Position Summary:
+ Facilitates payroll functions such as processing weekly payroll, reviewing payroll registers, and processing draft check requests using ADP Workforce now and Time Bank.
+ Facilitates accounts payable functions such as checking and processing invoices, and researching discrepancies and unpaid invoices
+ Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
+ Communicate with vendors and suppliers.
+ Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
+ Maintain organized payable files and c omplete filing on a daily basis
+ Respond to internal and external payroll inquiries
+ Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret invoice issues
+ Review documentation for accurate payroll coding
+ Reconciling account transactions with the general ledger and credit card
+ Track W-9’s and assist in annual 1099 filing in compliance with IRS requirements
+ Log and upload the excel training certifications database
+ Facilitate special projects and duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
+ Associate's degree or a Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in accounts payable and payroll processing ( ADP and Foundation is a plus)
+ Interact with the public and employee in a professional manner
+ Knowledgeable about general accounting principles; ability to calculate numbers and perform data entry.
+ Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
+ Must be able to multi task and handle pressure.
+ Sufficient computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and/or Internet to perform required duties.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
