    Description

    Amazon Security's Customer Logistics Security (CLS) team is currently hiring for a Security Engineer I to join our CLS Network Security team and play a critical role in protecting Amazon's vast grocery and logistics infrastructure. As a Security Engineer I, you will apply your strong technical skills to assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate security controls into our rapidly evolving operational systems.

     

    Working closely with our security engineers and product teams, you will help safeguard the networks, devices, and workflows that power Amazon's supply chain and enable seamless delivery for our customers.     Key job responsibilities

     

    - Assist in security reviews of grocery and fulfillment architecture, automation tools, and robotics infrastructure.

     

    - Conduct risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in logistics and grocery workflows.

     

    - Support the implementation of security best practices for Amazon’s logistics operations and grocery, including network security, identity management, and secure system deployment.

     

    - Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security controls.

     

    - Assist in security incident investigations related to fulfillment, logistics, and grocery infrastructure.

     

    - Develop and maintain security documentation, including threat models, risk assessments, and security guidelines.

     

    - Support security automation efforts, including monitoring and alerting for key security risks.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Experience in one or more of the following domains: access- control system and methodology, network security, application- and system-development security, security architecture and models, cryptography, and operations security

     

    - Knowledge of system, network and OS

     

    - Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell

     

    - Experience troubleshooting networks like TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig or curl

     

    - Ability to analyze security risks and communicate findings to non-security stakeholders.

     

    - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience securing operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), or warehouse automation is a plus.

     

    - Knowledge of Amazon security policies, standards, and operational workflows.

     

    - Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.

     

    - Experience in Amazon fulfillment or logistics operations (e.g., FC, Sort Center, AMZL, Supply Chain).

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
