    Description of the Position

     

    We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a fast-growing company in Mountain View on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is perfect for someone who is highly detail-oriented, communicative, and comfortable managing invoicing, collections, and reconciliations in a high-volume setting. You’ll work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate revenue tracking and cash flow.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Generate and issue accurate invoices to customers based on contracts and service agreements

    + Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments

    + Apply customer payments and reconcile discrepancies between payments and invoices

    + Communicate professionally with clients regarding billing questions or disputes

    + Maintain aging reports and provide regular updates on AR status to management

    + Support cash application and assist with revenue recognition as needed

    + Assist with month-end close, AR reporting, and audit preparation

    + Help improve AR processes and documentation for internal controls

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Skills

     

    + 2–4 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or Billing role

    + Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, and cash applications

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with external customers

    + Comfortable managing aging reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams

    + Detail-oriented and organized with solid time management skills

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

    Software Experience

    + QuickBooks Online or NetSuite for AR and invoicing

    + Bill.com and Ramp for payment tracking

    + Stripe, Shopify, or Salesforce experience is a plus (especially in e-commerce or SaaS)

    + Excel (intermediate) for reporting and reconciliation

    + Familiarity with Gusto or ADP is a bonus, especially for crossover support in payroll or deductions
