• Accounts Receivable Clerk - Part Time

    Description

    The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a key role in supporting the company’s cash flow by managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and following up with clients on outstanding balances. This role is ideal for someone with prior accounting experience who values flexibility and is comfortable working independently.

    Responsibilities:

    + Process and post customer payments via check, credit card, ACH, and other methods

    + Prepare and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely

    + Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts

    + Maintain and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger

    + Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing or payments

    + Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation tasks

    + Maintain accurate customer data and documentation

    + Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding payment issues

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus

    + 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

    + Excellent organizational and communication skills

    + Ability to work independently and manage part-time hours effectively

    Additional Information:

    + Schedule: Part-time (15–25 hours/week), flexible

    + Duration: Ongoing contract with potential for extension

    + Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
