    Position Summary

    CVS Health, a diversified health services company with more than 300,000 employees, united around a common purpose of bringing our heart to every moment of health, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate communications professional. As the Senior Communications Manager you will provide strategic thinking for and collaboration with Clinical and Government Services leadership team and execute a new communications function to advance the reputation of Caremark’s customer, member and provider experience, quality, patient safety and operations to promote our industry-leading service and product offerings.

     

    You will also partner with Caremark’s Clinical and Government Services Operations leadership team and lever communications and health care acumen to identify and execute communications strategies to highlight and promote our customer experience, quality, patient safety and operational successes and mitigate potential communications gaps and risks. You will collaborate with and influence senior business leaders throughout CVS Health and Caremark to develop internal and external communications strategies to promote strategic value, connect Clinical and Government Services Operations with our reputational advancements, and influence our enterprise story.

     

    You will develop, lead and execute these strategies by creating narratives and using tactics such as: mining member success stories of friction elimination, understanding our industry-leading quality (e.g., STARS, URAC, NCQA) and patient safety programs and measures, collaborating with customer facing teams, and representing Clinical and Government Services Operations on business-led work to assess reputational risk/opportunity.

     

    In addition you will serve a critical role in driving the organization’s goals and strategy. You'll serve as a conduit to connect strategy to Senior Leaders and key stakeholders to optimize enablement and deliver outcomes.

     

    Your ability to collaborate with key members of the Clinical and Government Services Operations team and other senior leaders throughout the organization is critical, as is your leadership, healthcare and communications experience and acumen. Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint is required.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Influence, execute and lead robust, high-quality, communications materials, plans and strategies using best practices, innovative ideas and business and industry insights to highlight and promote Clinical and Government Services Operation’s customer experience, quality, and operational success.

    + Collaborate across the Enterprise, with senior leaders, and with the key members of Caremark’s Member and Clinical Operations to identify and lead opportunities to advance our enterprise story, through our customer experience, quality and operational work using a variety of innovative and leading communications tactics.

    + Support executive communications and editing on memos, presentations, and talking points.

    + Proactively identify and pitch stories for inclusion in various internal communications vehicles.

    + Develop PowerPoint materials for meetings and presentations; track materials from other stakeholders to support integrations opportunities.

    + Assist with internal event development (e.g., Town Halls), consult with stakeholders and logistics coordination.

     

    This is a remote role, candidates can live anywhere in the US

    Required Qualifications

    + 6 or more years of relevant work experience required in communications, which includes developing and executing communication plans, coordination of internal communication channels, writing a variety of content (e.g., talking points, presentations, scripts, and stories).

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Skilled in strategic storytelling and expertise in culture and engagement strategies.

    + Experience leading strategic business communications with an emphasis on health care.

    + Excellent written and verbal communications and writing, editing and presentation skills.

    + Strategic and analytic thinker with superior planning, problem-solving and risk assessment skills.

    + A proven performer with demonstrated ability to lead work groups, follow through on commitments, effectively execute – independently or as a leader of team – and meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

    + Demonstrated ability to create, lead and execute complex communications strategies, plans, and campaigns.

    + Commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration and belonging; demonstrated experience in building work groups and relationships, integrating strategies and connecting the dots with large complex organizations.

    + Ability to manage high-level confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

    + Committed to quality, while being able to prioritize and seamlessly pivot and excel in a dynamic and evolving leading-edge organization.

    + Willing to travel, as needed, in support of business need and team collaboration.

    + Proficiency with MS Office suite; primarily PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

    Education

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.

     

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $67,900.00 - $182,549.00

     

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
