• Veterinary Technician

    VCA Animal Hospitals (Herriman, UT)


    VCA Oquirrh Hills Animal Hospital is looking to add a Veterinary Assistant to the team.

     

    Schedule: 4 x 10's rotating Saturdays (5hr day)

     

    Recommended qualifications are: Blood draw, IV cath placement, multitasking, team player, willingness to learn...

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Venipuncture

    • Catheter placement

    • Radiology

    • Obtain accurate vitals

    • Physical examinations and patient assessment

    • Assist Doctors

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Perform routine laboratory tests

    • Pharmacy

    • Multitasking

    • Compassionate care for our patients

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have documented previous experience

    • Surgery experience a plus

    • Flexibility in hours. Four 10 hour shifts, occasional Saturdays/Holidays

    • This is a day shift position

    • Working knowledge of computers

    • Customer service skills

    • Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

    • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments

    • Punctual
