**VCA Baywood Animal Hospital** is hiring an experienced **Veterinary Assistant** to join our team.

We see dogs, cats, and some pocket pets, offering primary care, illness care, surgery, dentistry, boarding, and more. We are open Monday through Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturdays 8am - 2pm, and closed on Sundays.

About The Role

As an experienced Veterinary Assistant, we want you to utilize your skills and knowledge. Duties include:

+ Compassionate patient care

+ Client education and communication

+ Patient assessment

+ Anesthesia and surgery assisting

+ Radiology

+ Dentistry

+ IV catheter placement

+ Blood draws, injections, fluids administration

+ Laboratory sample collection and diagnostic testing

+ Pharmacy

+ Medical recordkeeping
