Lanier Technical College – ( www.laniertech.edu ) is gearing up for increased student enrollment for both Summer Semester (beginning May 19th) and Fall Semester (beginning August 11th). POSITION: PART TIME ALLIED HEALTH/NURSE AIDE LABORATORY ASSISTANT – Different Campus Locations Available
REPORTS TO: Allied Health Division Chair
TARGET START DATES: SUMMER SEMESTER - MAY 19TH, 2025
FALL SEMESTER - AUGUST 11TH, 2025
HOURLY RATE: $16.00 - $26.00 PER HOUR, DEPENDING ON CREDENTIALS. UP TO 29 HOURS PER WEEK
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works under the direct supervision of faculty members and performs routine standardized laboratory work requiring close attention to detailed procedures in the preparation and basic maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment, inventory and requisition of supplies, assisting faculty in supervision of students assigned to laboratories, and other related duties. Is employed on an individual academic term basis.
MAJOR DUTIES:
• Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction
• Tutor or mentor students
• Perform laboratory maintenance
• Clean labs as needed
• Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a Nursing Fundamental course or a Medical Assisting Skills I course from a postsecondary college or university. Must include copy of transcript; and will accept an unofficial transcript.
Ability to work at multiple campus locations as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - (In addition to Minimum Qualifications and Competencies):
Successful completion of Nurse Aide Certification, Medical Assistant Diploma or higher from a postsecondary college or university.
Physical Demands
Ability to bend, perform body mechanics, lift 25 - 50 lbs. Work is typically performed in a lab and office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings . Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.
NOTE: This is a temporary, part-time position that is appointed on a per academic term basis. This is an hourly paid position; up to 29 hours per week while classes are in session.
