Job Title: Market Access Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a proven and strategic Market Access Manager to spearhead efforts in securing coverage, reimbursement, and pricing for cutting-edge medical devices. This role demands extensive expertise in navigating the intricacies of private insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid, along with a robust ability to drive evidence-based strategies that enhance access and affordability. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of demonstrated success in market access, pricing, and reimbursement within the medical device industry.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and execute strategies to secure coverage, reimbursement, and pricing for medical devices across Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers.
+ Build relationships with commercial payers, PBMs, IDNs, and government agencies; negotiate innovative contracts, including value-based and outcomes-based models.
+ Collaborate with Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams to develop evidence that supports product value and reimbursement.
+ Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Clinical teams to align market access strategies with business goals.
+ Ensure all strategies and communications comply with CMS, Medicaid, and private payer regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Proven success in DME reimbursement expansion with private payers and Medicaid.
+ High-priority payer experience, including Tricare, Kaiser, and Medicaid in Kentucky, Louisiana, and Texas.
+ Strong negotiation and payer engagement skills.
+ 5+ years in market access, pricing, or reimbursement in the medical device or healthcare industry.
+ Experience working with HEOR or clinical teams to support market access.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced Degree (MBA, MPH, PhD, RN) is a plus.
+ Experience in therapeutic areas such as Physical Medicine, Neurology, or Orthopedics.
+ Familiarity with home-use medical device technologies.
+ Experience in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments.
+ Experience in medical device or pharma sales.
+ Executive-level stakeholder engagement abilities.
+ Project management and process development skills.
Work Environment
Primarily remote work with collaboration across hybrid teams. The culture is mission-driven, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial, with an emphasis on innovation, cross-functional teamwork, and patient-centered impact. Part of a lean, high-performing team within the Market Access or Commercial function. Dress code is business casual for virtual meetings and professional attire for in-person engagements. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, full-time, with some flexibility and travel required (25–50% of the time) for payer meetings, conferences, and internal strategy sessions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr.
