Job Title: Die Repairman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool Room Technician to maintain and repair dies on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience and will be responsible for repairs both in the press and the tool room, ensuring smooth operations.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain and repair dies in stamping presses, including 2x 2200 Schuler presses, 1x 750 ton, and 2x 500 ton.

+ Diagnose and troubleshoot the fingers of the press.

+ Perform lock out tag out procedures and troubleshoot broken punches.

+ Utilize press gauges for tool and die setup.

+ Assist in training and teaching alongside Die Setters to familiarize them with processes.

Essential Skills

+ Progressive Die troubleshooting experience.

+ Seven or more years of maintenance experience.

+ Tool Room machining skills, including manual machining and surface grinding.

+ Experience with Cranes, Hi-Lo, and Forklift operation.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in progressive die.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot press issues.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

+ Prioritize and address tool and die maintenance needs efficiently.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a newly acquired facility with ongoing renovations for improvement. Employees work on both the stamping and robotic weld sides of the building, ensuring it meets modern standards. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with additional work on weekends based on production needs, totaling 45-55 hours per week. The dress code is appropriate safety attire for working with machinery.

This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $74880.00/yr.

Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market

Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.

They just launched their 2nd shift; would eventually launch 3rd shift by Q4 / Q1 2025
