Joint and Ortho Program Coordinator – Full Time Days

+ **Work location:** Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Lane, Dallas, TX 75231
+ **Work hours:** Full Time Days - Monday through Friday. Typically 8-5 with variety if needed to interact with physicians early in the day or later in the evening.
Ortho Admin Highlights:
• Interacting with peri-operative services, the orthopedics and trauma units, and working hand in hand with the OR supervisors, unit managers, and partnering directly with supply chain and the physicians.
• Very multidisciplinary and multidepartment work.
• The Orthopedics Service line is fast growing and is slated to make a big impact on the community and consumers.
What you need:
+ Bachelor's Degree Nursing required
• Ortho certification preferred
+ 3 Years clinical experience in acute care setting required
+ Leadership experience preferred
• Previous experience managing joint or specialty programs strongly preferred.
• Auditing experience preferred.
What you will do:
+ Customer & Interdepartmental Relations
+ Identifies patient amenities and secures necessary resources to administer the services.
+ Staff Development & Relations
+ Maintains open and active communication among all Disciplines/ Departments as required.
+ Physician Relations
+ Prepares the regularly scheduled Joint Center Team meeting agenda/ minutes.
+ Patient Education
+ Creates measurement systems for tracking surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction
Skills
Demonstrated verbal and written ability to communicate effectively and professionally across disciplines. Ability to handle multiple demands as well as respond to rapidly changing priorities. Ability to manage and grow a specialty program, including the clinical, administrative, educational and promotional components. Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational capability.
