    Hiring **ASAP** for **TIG Welders!**

     

    This is for an Aerospace TIG position on the 1st shift, so if you have previous experience with TIG then feel free to apply.

    Job Description

    IG welders are responsible for the fabrication and welding of aerospace tubular,

     

    sheet metal and casting engine components.

     

    We seek Aluminum experience from .020-.040 thickness for tube and duct assemblies.

     

    TIG Welders certify to AWS D17.1 Aerospace Specification as required to

     

    manual weld aviation hardware from 0.020” to 0.300” thickness, in all positions

     

    comprised of stainless steel, Inconel, cobalt, and aluminum alloys.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Set-up and layout jobs using blueprints, diagrams and fixtures following

     

    welding procedures to TIG weld in all positions including the use of rotary

     

    turntables for manual welding.

     

    • Inspects, maintains and logs preventative maintenance on equipment

     

    needed for welding and fabricating.

     

    • Sets up machines according to work instructions to trim, size, form,

     

    inspect, and GTAW (TIG weld) material to meet fabrication drawing

     

    requirements.

     

    • Drawing review and compliance for final dimensions, weld note callouts,

     

    base material and filler material selection.

     

    • Solvent cleaning, trimming, sizing and polishing to prepare weld joints for

    welding

    • Tack welding, fabrication of shop aids and fixtures to assist fabrication and

    welding

    • Videoscope inspection for root side weld defects.

     

    Visual weld inspection using fillet weld gauges, calipers, micrometers,

     

    height gauges and final weld fixtures.

     

    • Weld inspection for weld size, face and root reinforcement, cracks,

     

    inclusions and porosity.

     

    • Lean Manufacturing, general housekeeping, work in a teaming

     

    environment, 5S.

     

    • Daily compliance to customer drawings and specifications to maintain

     

    aerospace Quality Standards.

     

    • Complies with internal quality system and regulatory requirements

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $70.00/hr.
