    Job Description

    The Safety Coordinator provides essential administrative support for the Environmental Health and Safety Department. This role involves coordinating various safety programs, activities, events, and initiatives while ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards. Regular and punctual attendance is required, and the role includes performing other duties as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide administrative support for the Environmental Health and Safety Department.

    + Assist with the coordination of various safety programs, activities, events, and initiatives.

    + Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards while working safely.

    + Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); ability to produce information in spreadsheets, documents, forms, tables, and presentations.

    + Effective written and verbal communication skills.

    + Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Knowledge of safety regulations and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is primarily office-based, with 75% of time spent in a climate-controlled office setting and 25% of time spent on the floor assisting the safety manager.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Gainesville, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
