Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
+ Lead the design, development and implementation of individual learning items and programs across Clinical Operations.
+ Design, develop and deliver employee development programs in collaboration with HR Business Partners.
+ Help develop and maintain onboarding related training, tools and resources.
+ Partner with key stakeholders to define training needs through the determination of knowledge gaps and needs assessments.
+ Stay abreast of industry best practices and affiliated publications, memberships and technologies to ensure recommended standards are followed and organizational goals are met.
+ Lead the regular evaluation of training effectiveness and content review, revising content as needed.
+ Identify, develop and deploy appropriate learning mechanisms and modalities such as instructor-led, web-based, read and understand and blended training.
+ Mentor junior staff and provide guidance related to instructional design principles and the management of training related projects.
+ Collaborate with other team members to develop effective training related communications and system notifications.
+ Provide graphic design assistance on an as needed basis.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and 6 years experience
OR
+ Masters Degree and 4 years experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ BS/BA degree is required, preferably in a relevant role or discipline.
+ 8+ years of experience as an instructional designer or related role.
+ Experience in eLearning design and development.
+ Understanding of key learning principles and application such as ADDIE, SAM, SCORM and adult learning theory.
+ Experience in the daily use and management of a Learning Management System (LMS).
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to write clearly and summarize information effectively.
+ Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, manage and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously and effectively navigate ambiguity.
+ Strong meeting facilitation skills.
+ Excellent teamwork, communication, decision-making and organizational skills.
+ Experience with the Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook; especially Outlook.
+ Good understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint.
+ Experience using project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
+ Graphic design experience.
+ Experience with the Absorb Learning Management System.
+ Experience within a pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization.
+ Clinical operations or clinical trial management experience.
+ Knowledge and understanding of FDA and/or EMEA Regulations, ICH Guidelines, and GCPs governing the conduct of clinical trials.

The salary range for this position is: $126,820.00 - $164,120.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
