    Our Pediatric Specialty Care Clinic in Kalispell, MT, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to be part of our team!

     

    In this position, you will support providers treating specialties such as Endocrinology, Neurology, Cardiology, Allergy/Asthma, and Rhematology, Hematology/Oncology, and more! This role is vital in ensuring our young patients and their families receive the best possible care in a welcoming and supportive environment.

    Position Location:

    You will be working in our clinic at 202 Conway Drive in Kalispell, MT. This position may also float to assist Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Pediatric Cardiology at 350 Heritage Way, Kalispell, MT.

    What you'll be doing:

    + Patient Support: Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and ensuring a smooth clinical experience.

    + Performing lab draws

    + Care Coordination and responding to messages

    + Triage: Assessing patient needs and coordinating appropriate care and follow-up.

    + Team Collaboration: Working closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.

     

    The RN Outpatient Specialty role provides professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient ambulatory setting and coordinates care with other disciplines. Performs assessment of the individual patient, anticipates the needs of the care team and provides services while maintaining a safe environment.

    Qualifications:

    + Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.

    + BSN degree preferred.

    + Current HCP CPR certification required.

    + Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred.

    + Current ACLS and PALS certification may be required in certain departments and successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.

    + Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

    + Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

    + Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

    RN Job Specific Duties:

    + Performs patient assessment. Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness.

    + Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate.

    + Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit.

    + Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider.

    + Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care.

    + Participates in the development and delivery of education and competency validation of clinical staff.

    + Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards.

    + Administers medications per provider order.

    + Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies.

    Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

    Shift:

    Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

     

    Schedule: PRN, 8-hour day shifts. Shifts may be scheduled Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

     

    Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

     

    PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
