    The Senior Director of LK acts as a general manager of the brand. They will lead the marketing and strategic growth with execution plans for Link Foods.  This is a critical, high-visibility role tasked with leading and inspiring direct, cross-functional and agency teams to build a new brand in the ‘better for you’ snack space. This role will interact with our owners as liaison to the business on executing the Vision and Strategy.

     

    This Senior leader will have P&L accountability and be ultimately responsible for leading a team of individuals to deliver on accelerated growth with Customers/Consumers directly and through cross functional partners. Responsibilities include all Marketing KPIs, P&L ownership, natural channel sales, oversee additional channel sales, product development, brand development, volume and profit objectives for our LK brand.

    The responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

    + Understand and adhere to the core Company values: Be Real, Speed Matters, Stewardship, Relationship Driven, Self-Discipline, and Show Awesome Character and hold the Marketing team accountable to the same

    + Identify and lead cross-functional efforts, in close partnership with product development and consumer insights to develop and commercialize new product and expansion efforts to drive revenue, margin and profit growth

    + Develop strong relationships with other cross-functional leaders in the organization, including the senior leadership team to build the LK brand.

    + Develop strong relationships with our sales team and customers to launch LK brand- lead natural sales distribution with broker and sales team

    + Lead partnership with retail sales and ecommerce team to develop best-in-class launch and retail expansion on portfolio

    + Develop and manage brand strategy, including brand positioning / architecture, brand voice, and brand personality for each brand in the portfolio

    + Develop and guide all strategic initiatives for the LK brand in service of the company’s overall objectives, goals and strategies

    + Oversee brand P&L, product/promotional forecast and marketing spend forecast; allocate, manage and track brand budgets

    + Lead development of best-in-in class, actionable integrated marketing plans informed by consumer insights and backed by data

    + Oversee all creative marketing and advertising activities for the brand, including traditional media, digital media, social media, email, and public relations. Manage marketing and agency partners from brand development to creation of communications. Manage relationships with external vendors and business partners.

    + Guide assessment and prioritization of business initiatives in an environment of rapid change.  Be able to react quickly to market opportunities and competitive threats, sometimes with limited information

    + Direct team to deliver consumer, category, competition, and channel/customer analysis as part of on-going brand management

    + Provide continuous coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to develop and grow the team and help them reach to their true potential

    + Represent and communicate emerging brand portfolio business updates to leadership on a regular basis, highlighting opportunities and trends for business improvement and growth

    + Own portfolio A&P budget process

    + Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary

    Required Education:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, General Management or equivalent, MBA preferred

    Required Experience:

    + 10+ years of brand management/business experience

    + Proficiency in Nielsen/IRI syndicated data

    + Marketing, advertising, communications, production and promotion processes knowledge and experience

    + Strong senior executive with experience leading and developing both direct reports and cross-functional team members as well as influencing across and upwards

    + Experience building and developing new brands from concept to launch

    + Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of marketing and finance, P & L management, proven track record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets through creative marketing of existing lines, and new product introductions

    + General Management with brand focus

    + Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to lead programs, analyze data and drive results in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and team members

    + Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and personal sales skills

    + Strategic activator who is motivated in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment

    + A self starter who demonstrates effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, curiosity and motivational skills

    + Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    + Passion for ‘better for you’ foods and brands on a mission

    Preferred:

    + Natural Brand experience

    + Private Equity/Start-up experience

    + Direct to consumer experience

    + Data to consumer wheel experience

     

    The salary range for this role is $193,300 - $265,800 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. Jack Link’s provides a variety of benefits to eligible Team Members, including medical, dental and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k participation, paid holidays, and paid time off.
