Safety Systems Specialist

The position performs duties within scope of general policies, procedures and objectives. Requires regular exercise of independent judgment. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures and practices. Remains in consistent contact with leadership.
You will report to the Manager – Safety Documentation
This position is based in Celebration, Florida
You will:
• Develop and implement procedures to enhance overall quality and safety documentation repositories
• Champion a "quality/safety first" culture focused on operational quality, reliability, and meeting or exceeding Company expectations
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of quality processes across Disney Signature Experiences
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
• Maintain existing technology systems and troubleshoot as needed
• Implement business and operational solutions quickly and efficiently
• Document and manage process changes to support consistent practices and safety compliance
• Collaborate with partners to evolve the Quality Process and Continuous Improvement Program
• Support the VP of Safety, Environmental Sustainability and Medical Operations, and Director of Safety – DSE, in business planning and quality initiatives
• Work with leadership to address safety, quality, and compliance risks
• Conduct regular ship visits to evaluate and improve safety and quality systems
• Use data analytics to drive insights and decision-making
• Demonstrate working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Utilize Microsoft Power Apps and Dataverse
• Apply familiarity with MadCap Flare software
• Work proficiently with Smartsheet and other project management tools
• Serve as liaison with internal IT and external vendors for system enhancements and support
• Act independently on new initiatives and projects
• Support Disney Cruise Line’s Incident Management System, including enhancements and testing
• Explore and implement system improvements continuously
• Be available for occasional domestic and international travel
You will have:
• 3+ years of systems development and sustainment experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Python, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
• Data analysis skills
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required
• Master’s Degree preferred
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience leading a large-scale data migration project
• Experience working with enterprise IT on major technology initiatives
