We are looking for a highly experienced Application Developer to join our team. The Application Developer will be part of the Public Web Site team where we support the Enterprise Digital Marketing team by developing public facing websites for Zions. The Application Developer will have strong web development and software development experience and will play a key role in developing features and enhancements related to public websites. This position involves full-cycle application development, technical analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Support and maintain enterprise applications across multiple platforms with a focus on frontend development for Zions public facing websites.
+ Perform technical analysis, application development, configuration, and troubleshooting.
+ Manage incident response and resolution and vulnerabilities to ensure system reliability and performance.
+ Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions based on business and technical requirements.
+ Utilize both out-of-the-box components and custom development to meet solution needs.
+ Analyze business processes and systems, recommending improvements and enhancements.
+ Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define and implement technical requirements.
+ Conduct unit testing and contribute to feasibility assessments and system documentation.
+ Manage source code using version control systems and oversee change and release processes.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation, including flowcharts, diagrams, and code comments.
+ Develop proof-of-concept solutions and maintain demo environments for training and testing.
+ Participate in product design reviews and contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
+ Work closely with customer service, product managers, and IT teams to enhance user experience.
+ Apply user feedback and usability findings to improve application design and functionality.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with at least 8+ years of professional experience in software development using a variety of technologies, languages, databases, and frameworks.
+ Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing and troubleshooting.
+ Strong web development and software development experience with a focus on frontend.
+ Deep knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SSJS, React, Maven, Git, REST/SOAP, databases. Microservices, json and xml.
+ · Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, IntelliJ.
+ Experience with Adobe Experience Manager.
+ Experience with enterprise systems, integrations, and configuration management.
+ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
+ Experience in financial or banking services is a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Location:
This position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
