    ABOUT THE ROLE

Dow Jones is building the next generation of subscription experiences—ones that put choice, value, and perspective in the hands of the consumer.

As Senior Director, Consumer Partnerships, you will lead the development and execution of a strategic partner ecosystem, enabling subscribers to customize their package with third-party content, tools, and services.

This highly visible role requires a sharp strategist, creative dealmaker, and cross-functional leader capable of turning a nascent vision into a scaled platform. You will develop and own the product and subscription strategy, working across teams to identify the right partners, build business models that benefit both parties, and ensure long-term commercial success.

Reporting to the VP, Subscription Strategy, this role will be central to Dow Jones’ long-term growth ambitions.

You will work in our midtown Manhattan office three days each week.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    _Marketplace Product & Strategy Ownership_

+ Define and lead the strategic roadmap, ensuring offerings align with subscriber needs and long-term product vision.

+ Build and execute a crawl, walk, run development plan—starting with lightweight co-marketed offers and evolving toward deeply integrated partnerships based on consumer demand and proven performance.

+ Translate the high-level concept of “build-your-own-bundle” into a scalable and operational product model that adds tangible and perceived value to a WSJ+ subscription.

    _Partnership Development & Management_

+ Source, evaluate, and negotiate third-party content and service partnerships that align with our goals.

+ Develop clear business models, pricing structures, and partnership terms that balance Dow Jones’ objectives with partner appeal.

+ Lead internal alignment across legal, finance, product, and brand to gain consensus and secure approvals on all contract and investment decisions.

    _Cross-Functional Leadership_

+ Collaborate closely with the Consumer Insights team to shape the partnership roadmap using market research, segmentation data, and competitive analysis to narrow initial focus and validate direction.

+ Serve as the primary internal advocate for Partnership growth, influencing senior stakeholders and coordinating across marketing, technology, operations, and data teams.

+ Develop repeatable partner frameworks and templates to support scaled growth across verticals and geographies.

    _Operational Excellence & Measurement_

+ Build and manage a clear framework for onboarding, reporting, and optimizing third-party offerings.

+ Establish KPIs and reporting processes to track performance and continuously optimize the product and partnership mix.

+ Create financial models and forecasts to evaluate partner performance, ensuring revenue and engagement targets are met or exceeded.

    YOU HAVE

+ The willingness to work in our midtown Manhattan office 3 days each week

+ 15+ years of experience in consumer partnerships, business development, or product strategy, ideally in media, subscriptions, or digital platforms

+ At least 2 years of consumer partnerships experience

+ Proven success launching and scaling new initiatives from zero to one, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity

+ Comfortability building iteratively, using phased pilots and consumer feedback to shape future investment

+ Strong business acumen with experience developing models, evaluating partner performance, and crafting contracts with legal and finance teams

+ Exceptional communication and influence skills, with experience aligning internal teams and building trust externally

+ A passion for consumer value and the role of quality content in informing, empowering, and delighting subscribers
