    Director of FP& A - Key Responsibilities

     

    As the Director of FP& A, you will lead a team of finance professionals to implement best-in-class financial planning and analysis practices, while focusing on driving strategic initiatives and business growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

     

    + Strategic Financial Leadership: Oversee the development of robust financial models to support annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term business planning. Align financial strategies with organizational goals to drive sustainable growth.

    + Insights & Decision Support: Deliver actionable insights by analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and presenting recommendations that guide executive decision-making.

    + Process Improvement & Efficiency: Design and implement streamlined processes for forecasting, reporting, and analytics to improve accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.

    + Collaboration Across Teams: Foster collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between financial goals and business objectives.

    + Performance Reporting: Standardize and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to track business KPIs, measure success, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

    + Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing FP& A team through coaching, professional development, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

    + Ad Hoc Strategic Projects: Partner with leadership on special initiatives such as M& A activity, investment analysis, and strategic scenario modeling.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

    + 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP& A, strategy, or business consulting roles.

    + Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies.

    + Proficiency with advanced financial systems and tools, such as ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Workday), analytical software, and BI tools.

    + A track record of leading process improvement initiatives and implementing innovative solutions to ensure operational excellence.

    + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, coupled with the ability to craft narratives from complex data sets.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive collaboration across diverse teams and levels of seniority.

    + Leadership experience managing and developing high-functioning teams.
