    Quality Assurance Technician – Night Shift

     

    We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented **QA Technician** with at least **1 year of QA experience in the food industry** and a **minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience** in any field. This role demands **integrity, accountability** , and the ability to work **independently on the night shift** .

    Role Overview:

    As part of the **Food Safety Quality & Regulatory (FSQR) team** , you will support food safety and quality efforts through floor inspections, lab testing, documentation, and compliance monitoring.

    Shift:

    + 5:30p to 6a

    + Scheduling is done on 3/2 plan - work 2 days, then off 2, then work 3, then off 2, work 2, off 3; work every other weekend

    + Natural curiosity and commitment to doing things the right way.

    + Confidence to make tough decisions, even at 2 AM.

    + Communicates clearly, asks questions, and follows procedures precisely.

    Time Breakdown:

    + 65% Floor support & auditing

    + 20% Lab testing & compliance

    + 15% Admin & documentation

    Responsibilities:

    + Monitor and enforce SQF, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and sanitation protocols

    + Conduct pre-op inspections and production equipment release

    + Verify calibration of equipment, perform lab tests (pH, moisture), and manage samples

    + Support training, audits, and compliance documentation

    + Assist with investigations and continuous improvement

    Requirements:

    + High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

    + 1–3 years in food QA/safety; strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, sanitation

    + Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills

    + Ability to lift 55 lbs, stand for long periods, and wear required PPE

    + Must be self-motivated, dependable, and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
