Senior Compensation Analyst

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The Senior Compensation Analyst supports fair and competitive pay practices that help the Choctaw Nation reward top talent. Through data analysis, salary structure maintenance, and collaborative guidance, you will ensure compensation decisions reflect both market standards and the Nation's values. The analyst plays a key role in strengthening workforce stability and equity across the organization. You will report to the Compensation Director.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Salary: ~75k, will vary based on experience
Primary Tasks:
1. Benchmark internal job roles against market survey data to ensure appropriate pay practices, including selecting relevant survey matches and applying compensation ranges.
2. Evaluate all roles using a structured job evaluation methodology to assign job levels, salary grades, and titles.
3. Plan and implement annual compensation events including merit increases, bonuses, and equity awards; manage timelines, system setup, and communication with leadership.
4. Develop advanced models to simulate salary scenarios, cost impacts of compensation changes, and potential budget outcomes, supporting strategic financial planning.
5. Monitor pay practices to ensure alignment with compensation guidelines and address discrepancies in collaboration with HR and leadership.
6. Produce regular and ad hoc compensation reports; explore tools to improve data visibility.
7. Provide expert-level guidance on compensation-related matters including job offers, promotions, and reorganizations; support workforce planning and talent development efforts.
8. Support compensation education by providing tools, resources, and guidance to HR staff and Tribal leaders to ensure consistent pay decisions.
9. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field **_or;_**
* An equivalent combination of education and experience
* Pursuing professional certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools
* Knowledge of salary surveys, base pay structures, and pay programs
* Four [4] years of experience in compensation analysis, cost accounting, or financial data analysis
