    This is not just a coding job. You’re not here to tweak dashboards and call it a day.  A Data Innovation Strategist at NGA is part engineer, part analyst,  and part innovator—bringing structure to chaos in support of national security missions that don’t have room for guesswork.

     

    The objective will be to support NGA's GEOINT mission with high-impact analytical tools, models, and data workflows. Whether integrating Tableau dashboards for real-time analyst insight, scripting statistical models in Python, or developing automated pipelines that transform raw sensor feeds into usable intel, the work of an Applied Data Specialist drives faster and smarter decisions across the Intelligence Community.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Active TS/SCI security clearance

    + Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience

    + OR an Associate’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience

    + OR at least 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree

    + Demonstrated expertise in big data analysis and statistical modeling using Python, Pandas, Jupyter Notebook, R and MatLab to extract, test, and refine patterns and behaviors from complex, multi-source GEOINT datasets

    + Proven ability to engineer and optimize databases (SQL, NoSQL, Postgre, Oracle) for high-speed querying, input/output, and visualization across structured and unstructured environments

    + Applied advanced spatial and temporal analysis using ArcGIS, Tableau, and Excel to validate data integrity, support analytic workflows, and produce actionable intelligence products

    + Developed repeatable, automated analytic solutions and data pipelines aligned with NGA tradecraft standards, contributing to training resources and advanced tradecraft publication

    + Demonstrated leadership in data strategy and collaboration, advising government stakeholders, mentoring analysts, and aligning exploitation methods with Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) principles
