The role you’ll contribute:
The Sr. Manager Operations is a registered Paramedic, registered Nurse, or registered Respiratory Therapist who has 24-hour responsibility for the management of the EMS transport team. The Sr. Manager Operations manages the day-to-day operations, productivity, stewardship, and patient satisfaction of assigned units across all Central Florida South Division, Lake, Flagler and Polk Counties. The role will manage multiple supervisors along with the team members. Management responsibilities include hiring, coaching, progressive discipline including termination. The Sr. Manager Operations can demonstrate critical-thinking skills, creativity and has the knowledge to oversee the utilization of resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with departmental guidelines. The Sr. Manager Operations is skilled in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services for our patient population. Is responsible for the growth and development of team members. Acts as a change agent and is responsible for implementing any changes that the department is required to undergo. Ensures transports are performed in a timely, efficient and safe manner. Represents the departments at hospital committee, department, State and professional meetings. Works closely with the Medical Director, Educator and Clinical Nurse Manager for medical direction of the team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

+ Provides management and leadership for the effective and efficient operation of the assigned unit. Collaborates with Medical Director, Educator and Clinical Nurse Manager that assures clinical practice is of the highest quality by mentoring departmental supervisors and high potential employees, setting clear expectations in the delivery of clinical practice, and establishing and maintaining a communication plan that disseminates key messages and decisions to all involved in the care of the patient.
+ Manages staff performance and takes corrective action for improvement as appropriate. Uses independent judgement to ensure diversity of staff is positively fostered in the work environment. Actively involves all groups in shared decision-making where appropriate. Ensures a “ready state” environment is maintained for State inspections.
+ Manages team with an understanding of health care economics, public policy, and finance as it pertains to the delivery of patient care within assigned unit. Develops, analyzes and interprets unit-department based budgeting. Maintains staffing and scheduling and resource utilization within budgeted targets for the responsible unit.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
+ Bachelor's in healthcare, business, clinical science or Industrial/Systems Engineering upon hire or within 36 months of hire/promotion Required
+ 5 patient transport experience Required
+ 10 patient transport experience. Required
+ 2 management Required
+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure or RT license Required
+ BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
+ ACLS Required
+ PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
+ DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
+ Valid Class D or Class E Florida driver’s license and driving record in accordance with Advent Health Required
