How You’ll Make an Impact
Dudek is seeking an entry- or mid-level Climate Action Planner to participate in all aspects of climate action planning including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory and forecasting, action development, reduction calculations, plan development, and coordinating with team members on outreach, adaptation, and graphics. This role includes active brainstorming to develop innovative solutions to client’s challenges and communicating complex concepts in creative and easy-to-understand ways.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Contribute to climate action plans, GHG emission reduction plans, sustainability plans, and other related plans including:
+ Collect and analyze large datasets
+ Calculate GHG emission inventories, emission forecasts, and GHG reduction targets
+ Identify and customize GHG reduction actions and quantify effectiveness of applicable actions
+ Craft and evaluate carbon sequestration opportunities
+ Create tailored implementation and monitoring tools
+ Assist with proposal writing and other climate action marketing efforts
+ Communicate complex concepts to clients, the public, and decision makers in an understandable fashion
+ Work independently, but also actively participate in team brainstorming activities and mentoring of other team members (knowledge sharing)
+ Manage a workload of multiple projects simultaneously, communicating and working directly with clients and various project managers
+ Use both scientific evidence and creative thinking to solve problems
+ Efficiently manage work time to meet deadlines
+ Explore ways to improve climate action planning for our clients and their communities
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Environmental Science/Studies, Geography, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Engineering, Resources Management, or related field of study is required.
+ 3+ years of experience working on climate action plans, sustainability plans, or other related plans.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Environmental Science/Studies, Geography, Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Engineering, Resources Management, or related field of study is required.
+ 3+ years of experience working on climate action plans, sustainability plans, or other related plans.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 annually*
*Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

+ This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
+ This job may also require occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.
