Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
At V2X, we are making a difference by providing support to programs in the Effects Deployment Office (FXDO) of Precision Strike Weapons Program Office, PMA-201. This office is responsible for research, development, acquisition and sustainment of the Navy's air-to-ground precision guided weapons, general-purpose bombs, aircraft armament-related equipment, and all cartridge/propellant actuated devices. The FXDO responsible for the development of new programs.
We are looking for a Network/Data Link Engineer IV for the LRASM C3 (Air Launch anti-ship cruise missile) Program. The Network/Data Link engineer will support the execution of advanced communication data links for the LRASM C3 program.
This position requires the candidate to have a US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI or SCI-eligible and with at least 10% travel requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical expertise and support in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Link 16 systems
+ Thorough understanding of Link 16 network creation, including all components necessary to create a Link 16 network.
+ Understanding of how to create, read, and interpret OPTASK LINKs, Network Design Documents, and Initialization Data Load Files.
+ Conducts thorough analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues related to Link 16 systems, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
+ Develops and implement effective strategies for system optimization, performance improvement, and risk mitigation
+ Work with Program Management and program teams to integrate new capabilities, define gaps, derive requirements and develop program descriptions, specifications, integration roadmaps, and detailed schedules.
+ Support the development of acquisition and technical documentation.
+ Serve as the onsite liaison to support and coordinate technical reviews, data analysis and reports.
+ Monitor and report team and contract execution.
+ Analyze manufacturer’s proposals as permitted by law and regulation.
+ Serve as the communication/data link systems engineer for coordination of technical program status.
Qualifications
+ Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline
+ Three+ (3) years experience supporting C4I Tactical Data Link systems
+ 3+ years' experience with the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS).
+ Experience with communication/data links of military aircraft.
+ Clearance Requirement:
+ DoD Top Secret
+ Requires at least 10% Travel.
