    Description

    We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

    Job overview and responsibilities

    + Oversees and conducts project related activities for all corporate and Passenger Revenue Accounting (PRA) projects. Ensures business compliance with consistent project disciplines, including requirements documentation, use case development, and user testing. Directs dedicated program resources to program tasks and ensures timelines and costs are controlled.

    + Project Management:

    + Manages the systematic documentation of all business processes associated with Passenger Revenue Accounting

    + Manages the documentation of Sarbanes Oxley related process controls, and socializes the control narrative with Internal Audit

    + Manages the development of a comprehensive testing plan, leverage resources from within the team, the business resources assigned to the program, and IT as necessary

    + Manages the delivery of User Acceptance Testing, providing metrics identifying progress and level of success as applicable

    + Manages the oversight of pilot and/or parallel testing, liaising with IT as necessary to ensure delivery of key program milestones

    + Manages the process of documenting operating procedures in association with program and long term business process requirements

    + Partners with IT and Business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure leveraged resources required for program execution are aligned and addressing program needs

    + Develops and ensures compliance with key project controls, leveraging compliance guidance from Common Services organizations from within the division and IT

    + Develops and executes on Organizational Change Management activities, including user training, program measurement, communication and stakeholder management

    + Reports program progress to Program Board and Steering Committee as necessary

    + Ensures continued compliance with program documentation

    + Leadership:

    + Manage dedicated Business Process Management team, including User Testing Coordinator and Documentation Business Analyst

    + Assure professional development of direct team members

    + Ensures development of all required Program deliverables are developed consistently, and in alignment with the overall program structure

    + Ensure adequate oversight of leveraged business resources is established within the framework of the Business Process Management Team

    + Ultimately responsible for the successful launch of each Passenger Revenue Accounting module from legacy to future state

    + Oversees leveraged project team, inclusive of business subject matter experts, contractor business analysts and stakeholders on loan to the program

    + Direct the personal development of assigned resources

    + Engage business resources throughout Revenue Accounting to create a culture of program discipline, documentation, and accountability

    + Strategic Planning:

    + Develops processes and controls to support and integrate into a larger managed program framework

    + Provides forward looking program metrics, and reports program status, issues and mitigation plans to the Program Director

    + Ensures stakeholders and business users with a stake in the project’s success are aligned to the program vision

    + Recommends and executes documentation approach for program changes, incorporating feedback from Program Director and Revenue Accounting Managing Director

    + Defines strategic changes to Revenue Accounting system and processes based on interactive planning with Managing Director

    + Defines change plan for long term capabilities of personnel, as defined by Managing Director

    Qualifications

    What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    + Bachelor's degree

    + Bachelor’s in Business, Project Management, or relevant field of study

    + PMP Certification

    + 7+ years of related experience

    + Experience in large scale enterprise-wide systems implementations

    + Operational experience including vendor relations

    + Experience collaborating with stakeholders from different departments

    + Experience developing and delivering end user testing

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

    + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

    + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

    + Knowledge of airline passenger revenue accounting processing

     

    The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $169,950.00.

     

    The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
