Job Description:

Required Skills & Experience:

+ Many years of strong full-time current experience as a zTPF Application's Programmer performing both enhancements and maintenance work.

+ Experience working an agile environment.

+ Understanding of the zTPF environment

+ Ability to work in a Technical Lead capacity as part of an agile team

+ Must be proficient in Assembler, IBM TPF Tool Kit, and CVS tools

+ Experience using SABRETALK and Assembler languages.

+ Strong analytical / problem solving skills

+ Good verbal and written communication skills

+ Must show strong initiative and follow through on various assignments with little supervision;

+ Must be able to multi-task

+ Ability to complete detail oriented tasks that require a high degree of accuracy

+ Ability to effectively meet deadlines and manage workload in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

+ Airline and/or FOS Crew experience – a plus

+ Must be willing to perform all stages of the development cycle (analysis, design, coding & testing)

+ Must be willing to work in both on maintenance and enhancements.

+ This environment requires 7x24 coverage and candidate should be prepared to provide off-hours support as needed.

+ Currently programming in zTPF or has within the last year.

Roles & Responsibilities:

+ Perform full-cycle software development—including analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation—in the zTPF environment, focusing on both maintenance and enhancement of complex applications.

+ Develop and support applications using Assembler, SABRETALK, and IBM TPF Toolkit, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

+ Utilize CVS tools for version control and collaborate effectively using agile methodologies (e.g., daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews).

+ Provide 24x7 production support as required, including troubleshooting and resolving critical issues in a high-availability, mission-critical environment.
