    Your Impact

     

    The primary purpose of this role is to capture moderately complex financial activities and resolve issues in accounting records to enable accurate reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This includes responsibility for conducting effective research, managing, tracking, reporting, and reviewing work on financial activities to ensure accounting records are correct. In addition, this role executes internal controls over financial and regulatory reporting, by working independently to apply experienced accounting judgment and knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements in daily activity.

    What You Will Do

    + Takes action to ensure a solid understanding of both Finance and business-driven initiatives to inform planning efforts and drive continuous progress

    + Researches and documents business requirements for accounting systems related to individual workstream and validates recommended solutions with assistance from FTO management

    + Adopts retail best practices in Finance/Accounting to challenge the status quo and influence the design of efficient business processes

    + Partner with FTO management to inform recommendations regarding required system and process design and related testing, validation and configuration.

    + Communicates effectively across technology, product, and business stakeholders

    + Executes user acceptance testing and summarizes findings to inform functional signoff on feature delivery

    + Quickly escalates key issues/risks/decisions to maintain workstream progress

    + Assist with development, testing and implementation of key finance and accounting system controls focused on system access, financial data quality for system integrations and metadata governance

    + Helps support change acceptance, by listening to and documenting concerns and user needs from core accounting staff and working with FTO leadership to develop training and change management plans on new systems and processes

    + Partners with functional business staff to ensure new processes and system changes are operationalized properly

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field

    + 4 years experience in accounting, tax, finance (public or private) or relevant experience

    + Demonstrated understanding of intermediate GAAP concepts and financial controls (to apply this knowledge to the design and execution of activities within the respective area)

    + Advanced skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access)

    Preferred Skills/Education

    + Master's Degree Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field

    + Lowe's accounting or finance experience

    + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) CPA or CPA candidate

    Pay Range: $72,400.00 - $120,900.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
