    Job Overview

     

    Build something big! As aSupplier Quality Engineerat Komatsu Longview Operations, you will support the quality and reliability of our products by working with suppliers to ensure they meet Komatsu's standards. You will assist in supplier evaluations, collaborate with internal teams, and help drive continuous improvement efforts in the supply chain

     

    Key Job Responsibilities

     

    + Supplier Support & Evaluation:Assist in assessing and qualifying new suppliers, conducting basic supplier audits, and supporting improvement initiatives.

    + Quality Assurance Processes:Help implement and maintain quality assurance processes for incoming materials to meet Komatsu's standards.

    + Issue Resolution:Support investigations of supplier-related quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations. Work with suppliers on corrective actions.

    + Continuous Improvement:Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements with suppliers and internal teams.

    + Quality Metrics & Reporting:Track key supplier quality metrics and provide reports to management.

    + Collaboration:Work with engineering, production, and procurement teams to align on quality expectations and requirements.

    + Compliance & Standards:Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure suppliers meet quality requirements.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    + Some experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or a related role within a manufacturing environment (internship or entry-level experience preferred).

    + Basic understanding of quality management systems and process control.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Effective communication and teamwork skills.

    + Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits.
