REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Enrollment in High School as a sophomore or junior, or not yet achieved a High School Diploma

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will provide basic support within the department and offer an opportunity which will provide work experience as a trainee and support a transition from student to employee.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Will vary by department and may include –

+ Performs literature searches and review.

+ Prepares variety of basic chemical solutions used for experiments.

+ Mixes cleaning solutions according to specifications.

+ Putting pipettes in racks for autoclaving.

+ Cleaning and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.

+ Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

+ Performs related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

+ Vocational/special training.

+ Analytical/interpersonal skills.

+ Physical or mental abilities.

+ Demonstrated competencies.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENT:

+ Standard office and/or laboratory environments.

+ Standard office and/or research equipment.
