$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days)
Position: Employment Specialist 1- Full Time
Rate of Pay: $23.84 per hour; plus $40 bi-weekly stipend for second language
Hours: 37.5Hours per week
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 11am to 6:30pm or 12pm to 7:30pm; Schedule may fluctuate based upon program needs
Summary:
+ Use your creative job seeking skills to support people with disabilities secure and succeed in community-based employment.
+ Be part of a creative supportive team to help people with disabilities reach their vocational goals.
+ Participate in an intelligent progressive team approach working closely with State funding sources
+ Case manage and develop employment relationships between the people you support and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities.
+ Provide individualized supports to assist people with the employment skills they need to include; resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette.
Qualifications:
+ High School/GED or Hi-SET plus 1-2 years related experience OR Associate’s degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training.
+ One year of human service experience desired.
+ Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.
Requirements:
+ Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.
+ Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
+ Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
+ Ability to work a flexible schedule required
