Join the Texas A&M College of Nursing as a Program Coordinator I for Forensic Simulation! In this role, you will plan, organize, coordinate, and manage the day-to-day simulation course activities. You'll manage all simulation activities to include scheduling and preparing simulations, recruiting and evaluating standardized patients, and developing standardized patient education. Your role also involves overseeing mobile simulation requests, coordinating forensic nursing coaches, and compiling essential reports. By upholding the highest standards of practice, you'll ensure that every simulation runs smoothly and effectively, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals. Your role also involves overseeing mobile simulation scheduling and requests, coordinating forensic nursing coaches for simulation courses, compiling reports, and assisting in the development of simulation scenarios. By upholding the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice™ and the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) Standards of Best Practice , you'll ensure that every simulation runs smoothly and effectively, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Two years of experience with program/project management, events planning/management, simulation, healthcare, education, technology or other related areas.
Licenses/Certifications: Obtain Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist certification within two years of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work independently. Ability to work with individuals and communities. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the community. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Time management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail.
The well-qualified candidate will also possess
+ Bachelor’s degree in a health, project management, or communications-related field.
+ 1+ year of program/project management, events planning/management, simulation, healthcare, education, or technology.
+ Valid State of Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
+ Experience with performing as a Standardized Patient or Medical Teaching Associate.
+ Experience working with individuals and communities.
+ Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator, Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist, or Project Management Professional certification.
+ Direct customer service experience.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Teams. Knowledge of/experience with audio/visual software, including CCTV technologies and microphones.

Some of the responsibilities include
+ Coordination/Operations of Forensic Simulation Program: Plan and organize simulation courses and mobile simulation, collaborate with the team for scheduling, and coordinates standardized patients and forensic nursing coaches. Interact with course participants, attends and participates in team meetings, and maintain databases. Prepare for and clean up after simulations and maintain the physical space and supplies. Maintain software competency and other specialty expertise through continuing education/practice, compile reports/program statistics, and assist with program evaluation and teaching (if applicable). Uphold Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice™.
+ Standardized Patient Program Planning and Operations: Coordinate functions of the standardized patient program by recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating participants. Implement standardized patient encounters, recordings, debriefings, and evaluations, performances, and checklists. Develop and train standardized patients for specific cases. Provide customer support, participate in TeleSim events, travel as needed, plan and implement program events, and assist with their evaluation. Maintain the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) Standards of Best Practice.
+ Technology: Manage audio/visual and viewing equipment, schedule and prepare for recording sessions, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Assist faculty with virtual reality activities and manage the immersive simulation environment. Maintain hologram and virtual reality equipment.
+ Other Activities: Maintain task trainers, conduct inventories, and order supplies. Collect data, compile reports, and ensure training areas are always clean and ready. Provide input into strategic planning, monitor budgets for programs and events, and reconcile SP invoices for payment.
