What we want
The Psychologist III provides individual, couples, and group counseling to Texas A&M University students, along with outreach, consultation, and prevention services that support mental health and overall well-being. They also offer training seminars, provide professional expertise to campus partners, and may supervise assigned staff, including early-career clinicians and graduate trainees. They assist in the coordination and delivery of services within University Health Services and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative programs that address the evolving needs of the student population.

Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:
+ Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP).
+ Five years full-time equivalent, post-licensure experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting.
+ Licensed in the State of Texas as a psychologist. If not currently licensed in Texas, must obtain Texas licensure as a psychologist within one year of hire. Must maintain active licensure for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience providing mental health services in a college or university setting.
+ Demonstrated experience working with student that are representative of our TAMU Student Population.
+ Experience supervising or training early-career clinicians, such as doctoral interns, postdoctoral fellows, or practicum students.
+ Strong background in providing psychological assessments, group therapy, outreach programming, and consultation services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Clinical expertise in multiculturally informed counseling, consultation, supervision, crisis intervention, campus engagement, program coordination/development, training and supervision.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
+ Knowledge of ethical standards and legal regulations as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
+ Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation best practices.
Responsibilities
+ Clinical Services & Supervision: Provides direct clinical services including individual, couples, and group counseling. Responds to student mental health crises with timely and appropriate intervention. Delivers outreach presentations and workshops for students, faculty, and staff related to mental health.
+ Departmental & Service Area Involvement: Participates in University Health Services committees, meetings, and special initiatives. Assists in the coordination of clinical services and the development of new programs. Supports administrative functions and continuous service improvement.
+ Administrative Needs: Completes timely and accurate documentation in accordance with State of Texas licensure requirements and UHS policies. Administers and interprets psychological assessments as appropriate. Makes appropriate referrals and coordinates care with other UHS services and community providers. Contributes to organizational and administrative case management. Facilitates professional development seminars for early career mental health professionals.
+ Supervision & Consultation: Provides consultation to faculty, staff, students, and families regarding student mental health and well-being. May supervise and train doctoral interns, practicum students, or graduate assistants, including review of clinical sessions, case discussions and provision of seminars. Seeks clinical consultation from peers and leadership for complex cases in alignment with Texas licensure standards
+ Professional Development & Research: Maintains licensure through required continuing education and professional development activities. Engages in applied research or program evaluation activities as appropriate. Represents UHS in professional presentations and community engagement efforts.
