    We are looking for a dynamic Lead Product Manager to develop clinical solutions for our members and providers, with full accountability from strategy to execution.

     

    The Lead Product Manager partners across various multi-disciplinary teams at Humana to design, define and deliver clinical solutions to help drive improved health outcomes for our dual members – members that qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.

     

    The Lead Product Manager sits in the center of strategy, design, technology, clinical, and operations and is responsible for owning the full end-to-end solution lifecycle.

     

    Please note this is not a traditional product manager role. Many of our solutions are not digital in nature and do not always have a technology/engineering component.

    **Responsibilities** ​

    + Engage in ambiguous problem solving and strategy setting to develop clinical program

    + Use data and insight to identify the greatest opportunities in clinical outcomes, quality, cost, and experience for dual eligible members.

    + Leverage a design-first (e.g., “double diamond”) approach to developing clinical program requirements, including partnering with design/research, marketing, engineering, technology, and other team members to deeply understand member and provider needs.

    + Iteratively and consistently work to improve our products and programs by looking for new ways to deliver value to our members and providers ​

    + Lead cross-functional teams to define and execute on discrete opportunities that are both impactful and achievable

    + Make prioritization decisions across competing priorities. Display ability to balance and present tradeoffs between business objectives and customer needs.

    + Serve as a leader on the clinical product team. Coach and mentor junior members to grow their skills and abilities. Proactively contribute to team culture and help drive cross team strategic initiatives and best practices

    Role Essentials

    + Bachelor's degree ​

    + 6 or more years of product management and/or clinical solutions experience and/or strategy consulting experience

    + Experience interpreting and leveraging data and analytics to improve strategy and make recommendations

    + Experience impacting high-needs population health outcomes and social determinates of health

    + Experience launching a new clinical program or product from zero-to-one

    + Comfortable working independently and communicating through multiple levels in the organization ​

    + Exceptional oral and written communications skills, with the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with all organizational levels, including senior and executive level audiences ​

    + Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment; be nimble and adaptable, handle ambiguity

    + Strong ability to drive cross functional teams to alignment in the midst of ambiguity

    + Experience working with external partners to execute a product launch ​

    + Passionate about improving the U.S. healthcare system and eager to tackle complex but important, clinical and administrative challenges ​

    + Ability to drive significant transformation

    + Solid track record managing products that achieved successful financial outcomes

    + Competence working on very large and most complex assignment

    Role Desirables

    + Clinical experience or degree (MDs especially)

    + Familiarity with designing studies to measure outcomes (e.g. randomized control trials, differences-in-differences)

    + Experience with and/or knowledge of deploying advanced machine learning algorithms (e.g. for risk stratification)

    + Previous people management experience or experience leading cross functional teams or initiatives

    To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

    + At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

    + Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

    + Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

    + Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

    + Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

    Pay Range

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

    $126,300 - $173,700 per year

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
