Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a driven and detail-oriented engineer to join our clients infrastructure team as a production-focused contributor on diverse, project-based work. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to grow professionally, and capable of taking ownership of project components while incorporating feedback and demonstrating resourcefulness.
This role is approximately 95% design production, with the number of concurrent projects varying based on sizefrom a single large project to over ten smaller ones. Projects span federal, public, and private markets, offering a dynamic and engaging workload. Due to the variety and pace of work, strong attention to detail and the ability to pivot between tasks are essential.
This hybrid position requires on-site presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The engineer will collaborate within both stand-alone and multi-discipline design teams, under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
Key responsibilities include performing civil engineering tasks on small- to medium-scale projects, ensuring compliance with zoning ordinances, standards, and specifications. The role also involves supporting document preparation, assisting with the bidding process, and working closely with Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and Design Managers.

Skills and Requirements
*Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or actively pursuing licensure
*Proficiency with PCSWMM software
*Familiarity with Virginia regulations (experience with roadway drainage may be considered a suitable substitute)
*Demonstrated ambition and potential to grow into a leadership role *Strong background in transportation engineering
*Experience in the Federal Sector, particularly with Department of Defense (DoD) projects
*Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)
*Experience with HEC-RAS and/or Civil 3D software null
