• Sr. Automated Machine Design Engineer

    Manpower Engineering is seeking a top-notch Sr. Automation / Machine Design Engineer to work onsite at our Fortune 500 client in Plano, TX. State-of-the-art facility. Long-term contract opportunity (6mo+).

    What you’ll be doing:

    You’ll perform detailed design of automated machines or stations, from concept to full system. This includes the use of steppers & servo motors, all types of sensors, vision systems, complex motion systems or robots, etc. 90% of role is heads-down design in SolidWorks.

    Background we are seeking:

    + Strong automation & machine building design experience with around 10+ years’ experience doing complex automated machines, with at least 5+ years being the sole or primary designer.

    + Automation design experience should include experience incorporating steppers & servo motors, all types of sensors, vision systems, conveyors, complex motion systems or robots, etc.

    + Should have experience in integrating designs with controls/electrical systems

    + Hands-on ability & interest to help build/prototype and test their designs is desired

    + SolidWorks expertise needed
