    Desktop Support Technician

    **Location:** Longmont, CO

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (On-Site Only)

     

    Pay Rate:** **$25/hour

    This opportunity is with a large, well-established technology company committed to delivering exceptional end-user IT services. The End User Services team ensures employees across the organization have reliable access to the tools and support they need—ranging from desktop and mobile devices to software, network connectivity, and security compliance. This team is part of the larger Corporate IT function and plays a critical role in daily business operations.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced **Desktop Support Technician** with at least **5 years of hands-on experience** in a technical support environment. This role will involve the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop hardware, mobile devices, applications, and conference room technologies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops (Windows & Mac), mobile devices, printers, and phones.

    + Troubleshoot technical issues—both hardware and software—and provide high-quality, customer-facing support.

    + Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and escalate as appropriate.

    + Conduct hardware repairs and manage coordination with third-party vendors.

    + Maintain system security using tools like BitLocker and enforce password/data protection protocols.

    + Support AV and conferencing equipment, including Teams, Zoom, and in-room technologies.

    + Manage IT service tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring timely triage and resolution aligned with SLA commitments.

    + Use SCCM/MECM for system imaging, patching, and software deployment.

    + Track IT assets and updates through asset management platforms.

    + Collaborate with IT teams to test, evaluate, and implement software applications or upgrades.

    + Ensure compliance with OS patching, system uptime, and security configurations.

    + Provide regular updates to stakeholders and document all technical procedures accurately.

    + Perform administrative tasks to support team operations.

    Required Qualifications

    + 5+ years of direct experience in desktop support or IT service roles.

    + Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

    + Proficient with Windows 10/11, Mac OS, iOS, and Android platforms.

    + Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., Bomgar).

    + Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).

    + Experience using enterprise-level ticketing systems like ServiceNow.

    + Familiarity with SCCM/MECM for system management and deployment.

    + Demonstrated ability to follow processes, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple support requests efficiently.

    + Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with strong customer service orientation.

    Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

    + CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

    + HDI Support Center Analyst

    Work Environment & Details

    + This is an **on-site** position at a large product design campus in **Longmont, CO** , with mountain views and on-campus amenities such as a cafeteria, walking paths, and employee community groups.

    + Standard hours are **Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM** . Hours may be adjusted at the discretion of the employer. Occasional overtime may be required.

    + Remote work is **not available** for this position.

    + Compliance with onsite health and safety protocols is required.

    + **Visa sponsorship is not available.**
