Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager of Operations will provide corporate guidance and support for the division teams building out and maintaining the ESS (Equipment Shared Service) program within HCA Supply Chain. This includes leveraging reporting and monitoring operations to drive key metrics towards increased efficiencies for end users within the facilities. In addition, the Manager will execute initiatives to increase equipment utilizations, reduce rental expenses through optimized tracking, and flow of equipment enterprise wide as well as create and sustain standards in buildout of internal depots across the enterprise.

What you will do in this role includes:

+ Assists in overseeing the rollout of ESS program across the enterprise comprising of people, process, and technology (RTLS) that will create a standard operating model within the organization

+ Provide education and training for division and facility equipment management roles to reinforce proper competencies

+ Works with the other corporate team members to assist with on-site reviews and assessments of operations through program implementation as well as post go live

+ Contributor to the development and deployment of Policies and Procedures related to equipment management as well as collaborating with internal audit when needed on specific P&P’s

+ Execute key initiatives and project plans to drive turnaround times, insufficient utilization, accurate utilization reporting, and cost savings ideas in relation to equipment management

+ Develops and implements KPIs that will be used to monitor performance and opportunity within the organization

+ Oversees the implementation of equipment depots as well as create and maintain standards for proper sustainability of the equipment depots

+ Partners with key equipment rental vendors on rental strategies across the organization

+ Maintains continuous communication with division equipment management and supply chain teams providing support and guidance to ensure consistency around work standards

+ Assists with the roll out of ServiceNow equipment management modules across the enterprise including equipment requests, Entry/Exit, etc.

+ Collaborates corporate and supply chain IT&S in requirement gathering and development of key systems that directly impact day to day work within the hospitals

+ Part of the emergency preparedness team tied to HCA Enterprise Emergency Operations Center (EEOC) to support in disaster preparedness/readiness and mitigation planning

+ Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

+ Demonstrates comprehensive job knowledge.

+ Attends in-service presentations, and completes mandatory education week, including but not limited to, infection control, patient safety, quality improvements, MSDS and OSHA standards.

+ Other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need for this role:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar

+ Medical Equipment Management Operations (Capital Planning, Biomed)

+ 5+ years of Healthcare / Hospital Operations

+ Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement - Preferred
