Job Summary and Qualifications

The Transplant Director coordinates all aspects of the Transplant Department including Pre-Transplant, Out-Patient Clinic, and Post-Transplant in accordance with the mission and vision of Research Medical Center.

Is responsible for all administrative and clinical functions of the Transplant Institute.

Is responsible for business development with service line growth including increasing the number of current service line cases and increasing number of services lines offered.

Evaluates staff performance according to organizational policies/procedures and behavior standards.

Identifies staff development needs and provides educational opportunities to meet those needs.

Ensures that quality care is delivered to all patients and coordinates quality improvement activities as needed.

Provides leadership to the department regarding all applicable regulations, professional standards, and organizational standards.

What qualifications you will need:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required.

Masters Degree in a health care or business preferred.

Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills required.

Demonstrated creative and flexible leadership skills required.

Successful team-builder and demonstrated capability in administrative management in a high-level tertiary care environment preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years specific experience in transplant-clinical program required.

Management Experience: 3 years management experience required. Marketing and medical office management experience preferred.

Administrative Skills: Medical billing/accounting background required.
