About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist in the Merchant Services team as part of Corporate Risk and will primarily focus on managing credit risk over First Line activities including credit approval of new customer activity, portfolio management and processing activities.
A successful candidate will have Commercial lending experience with subject matter expertise in fundamental cash flow analysis, understanding credit risks in changing economic environments both on a micro and macro level; understanding Commercial Credit policy, procedures and controls. This individual will need to possess strong credit and data analysis skills, superb communication, project management experience and demonstrated success driving innovative solutions to analytic challenges.
In this role, you will:
+ Review moderately complex commercial credit underwriting transactions (new business underwriting, annual reviews, modifications, etc.)
+ Contribute to commercial credit performance, risk assessment and risk mitigation
+ Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors related to commercial credit and underwriting
+ Receive direction from leaders
+ Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
+ Interact with internal customers
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ Commercial lending experience with subject matter expertise in fundamental cash flow analysis, understanding credit risks in changing economic environments both on a micro and macro level.
+ Understands Commercial Credit Policy, Procedures and Controls around Commercial Credit Policy.
+ Strong fundamentals with reading and analyzing financial statements from medium to large businesses.
+ Commercial lending experience with subject matter expertise in fundamental cash flow analysis, understanding credit risks in changing economic environments both on a micro and macro level.
+ A BS/BA degree or higher in business, accounting, finance or economics or similar experience through training or work experience.
+ Excellent collaboration, communication and project management skills.
+ Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) with business partners, peers and senior management and lead discussions.
+ Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems.
+ Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment; strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal direction; ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles.
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.

Job Expectations:

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
