    About The Role:

    As a CBRE Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions.

     

    This job is part of the Software Engineering job function. They are responsible for successfully executing and monitoring system improvements to increase efficiency.

    What You'll Do:

    + Design, develop, and maintain software applications with a focus on data processing, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).

    + Utilize Python for backend development, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

    + Implement and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) to enhance AI capabilities.

    + Develop and maintain user interfaces using React, ensuring a flawless user experience.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

    + Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.

    + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

    + Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

    + Impact the quality of own work.

    + Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

    + Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

    What You'll Need:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily.     + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, with 5-8 years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

    + Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks.

    + Solid understanding of React and front-end development.

    + Understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their applications.

    + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources.

    + Willingness to take new points of view on existing solutions.

    + Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

    + Ability to work multi-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) preferred.

    + Preferred familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

    + Previous contributions to open-source projects or relevant publications desirable.
