    The Amazon Supplier Audit Risk Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) supplier audit and risk management program. This role ensures that suppliers meet quality, safety, and compliance standards, and mitigates potential risks associated with the supply chain. This role will develop and implement audit procedures, track audit findings, and establish process to ensure suppliers address findings identified during the audit or assessment.

     

    This role is responsible for designing an audit program that is scalable to address risk established from designed risk analytics tools and supplier history. Role will lead the development of risk analytics tools based on risk assessments, financial stability, and compliance records designed to identify potential exposure to Amazon Supply Chain success. This role will further design risk audit program that includes evaluating a supplier’s sustainability risk related to environment, human rights and labor conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to consolidate a risk program that expands beyond traditional safety, quality and performance to include other risks such as financial stability and sustainability areas included under Environmental, Safety and Governance (ESG).

    Key job responsibilities

    • Design and implement audit programs and methodologies

    • Establish audit priorities based on developed risk models

    • Develop audit policies, procedures, and standards

    • Monitor audit program effectiveness and make improvements

    • Investigate supplier compliance breaches upon leadership request

    • Develop and improve supplier risk assessment and monitoring processes, and stay updated on industry standards and regulations

    • Work closely with procurement, quality assurance, and other relevant departments to ensure effective supplier risk management

    • Improve audit accuracy and capabilities

    • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders

    • Identify and implement process optimization opportunities

    • **Travel expectations will be up to 25%

    About the team

    The Global Supplier Management team comprises multi-disciplinary experts specializing in quality assurance, supplier qualifications, operational excellence, and new product qualifications. We prioritize identifying risk with suppliers before they are realized by Amazon’s supply chain by executing detailed assessments and audits during the lifecycle of our suppliers.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Completed bachelor’s degree or 1+ Amazon experience

     

    - 7+ years Management experience in quality, safety or risk related roles

     

    - Cross-functional project management experience

     

    - Process improvement experience via Kaizens and use of LEAN tools

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority

     

    - Project management and organizational skills, experience working on complex initiatives with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

     

    - Communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
