Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will manage customer payments, maintain accurate financial records, and provide support for various accounting tasks. Your focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts receivable processes while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Record and process customer payments, including cash, checks, credit cards, wire transfers, and other transactions.

• Accurately apply payments to corresponding invoices using Excel and accounting software.

• Prepare account summaries and provide status updates to management.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to short payments, deductions, and unpaid invoices.

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding payments, shipments, credits, and returns.

• Review and verify warehouse return documents for accuracy.

• Issue credit memos to customer accounts on a monthly basis.

• Reconcile warehouse return quantities on a monthly schedule to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and uphold organizational values. Requirements • A minimum of three years' experience working with enterprise-level accounting systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.

• Proficiency in Office Suite tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes.

• Experience with cash applications, billing, and cash collections.

• Familiarity with Great Plains Accounting or similar accounting software.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
